Go-Kart
When I was twelve I went to the garage of my then home, located somewhere in the suburbs of Texas, and removed the trimmer my parents had bought from Sears some years before. What happened next resulted in the end of our hedges as we knew them. Aside from what I thought to be an excessive grounding, it would be another three years before my parents let me near the trimmer. While the hedges never quite fully recovered, this was the beginning of my acute fascination with the American landscape.
