Karen Lofgren

A horse sized glowing unicorn skeleton placed in the desert for people to come across at night. The concept is related to an alchemy recipe found for phosphorus from the 1700s linked with popular mythology about femininity guided by a medieval bestiary.

A 3’ x 3’ dance floor (large enough for just one person); a set of headphones; a light stand; and a sound responsive dj light that moves in synchronicity with the techno soundtrack (compiled for the work by Robert Crouch).
