Talk at the Nevada Museum of Art
Please join us for “Learning From What We Are Not,” a hybrid virtual/in-person conversation hosted by the Nevada Museum of Art, in conjunction with their current exhibition, Disturbances in the Field: Art in the High Desert from Andrea Zittel’s A-Z West to High Desert Test Sites. HDTS administrators and programmers, Vanesa Zendejas and Elena Yu will reflect on the twenty year history of High Desert Test Sites at a moment of change for the organization and on the occasion of The Center for Art + the Environments acquisition of the HDTS archive. We will share stories about the items in the collection, consider changes in the ethos of HDTS over time, and begin to publicly discuss the transition into a new future without Andrea as Director.
